In 1839, a pioneering scientist named Michael Faraday discovered the groundbreaking technological phenomena of electrolysis. This is the basis of GenEon's powerful disinfecting, sanitizing, and cleaning solutions. We use this same technology to allow our customers to produce an electrically charged mixture of water and proprietary minerals. This process is known as Electrochemical Activation (ECA). Our one-step, multipurpose products offer safe and sustainable cleaning, sanitizing, and degreasing solutions, while our on-site production technology provides a competitive advantage in terms of product efficiency, eco-friendliness, and simplicity. Every aspect of our products benefits our customers as well as the environment. Testing run at nationally recognized labs following AOAC protocol and GLP procedures confirm that our solution kills 99.999% of common germs, some 60 seconds or less. This includes Listeria, MRSA, Staph, VRE, Pseudomonas, Norovirus, H1N1, Salmonella, and E.coli O157:H7 bacteria. In addition to the high powered disinfectant properties of our products, they are also safe for virtually all surfaces as well as people, pets, and plants. Historically, people in need of cleaning and sanitizing products needed to repeatedly purchase costly toxic chemicals to use in places where they worked, lived, and played. Our products change all that.

The ECA process works like this: One of the natural minerals that GenEon uses as a catalyst is salt. Salt is a compound comprised of sodium and chloride. Sodium ions are positively charged and chloride ions are negatively charged. Our onsite generators expose these ions to a low electrical charge. The positive side of the charge electrochemically converts the chloride ion (Cl) to hypochlorous acid (HOCl), which is a powerful sanitizer. The negative side of the charge electrochemically converts the sodium ion (Na) into sodium hydroxide (NaOH), which is a cleaning compound commonly found in soaps and detergents. Unlike many other OSG systems, our system is a Blended Stream System that uses both versions in the same solution. The hypochlorous solution is represented as Free Available Chlorine (FAC) that has 80-200 times the disinfecting power of chlorine bleach. Since it is produced at a near-neutral pH, it won't bleach out furniture or clothes. This is called electrolyzed water for cleaning, and we are the best choice for the on-site generation of Electrolyzed Water.

Besides being leaders in ECA, we have developed advanced delivery systems that allow consumers to thoroughly and effectively sanitize and disinfect their buildings. Our system is ideal for gyms and sports facilities, medical facilities, long-term care facilities, stores, office buildings, restaurants and bars, and any place where it's important to minimize the spread of germs and bacteria that can cause illness. Our Mist delivery system allows you to sanitize and disinfect wide-open spaces and cracks and crevices that often get overlooked. The Mist Sprayer/Blower allows for cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting without the need for direct surface contact. Combined with our sustainable sanitizing and disinfecting products and our Instaflow on-site generation technology, there simply isn't a better way to keep your business or organization sanitized. Because our products are made by consumers on-site, as needed, you'll see overall savings on maintenance costs each year. You can also eliminate the need to transport and store potentially harmful chemical-based products, which contributes to an even safer way to work.

GenEon is especially good for schools. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guide entitled Green Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting: A Curriculum for Early Care and Education makes it clear that toxic chemicals are more dangerous to children than adults, and that the chemicals found in many sanitizers and disinfectants can cause cancer and increased incidents of asthma in school-age children. Many of these issues are the result of chemicals found in products commonly used in schools. The guide recommends carefully monitoring the products you use in school systems. GenEon is an ideal choice for school settings and can help reduce these risks for children.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a heightened sense of awareness when it comes to the dangers of germs. We've seen just how devastating a virus can be, both on our economy as well as our health. Every aspect of our lives was overturned, from businesses shutting down to children being forced to stay at home. While we can't promise something like COVID-19 will never happen again (history as shown us otherwise), we can promise that GenEon products can give you a head start when it comes to reducing the threat of germs, bacteria, and dangerous viruses. GenEon can play a part in helping you create a better living space where you work and play. Our toxic-free products allow you to do this without posing a threat to your health or the health of the environment. Most of the chemical-based products on the market can't make this claim.
