We get excited when consumers ask us about on-site generation. On-site generation is a technology that allows consumers to make their cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting products in their homes or their business.A Little Bit of History
In 1839, a pioneering scientist named Michael Faraday discovered the groundbreaking technological phenomena of electrolysis. This is the technology GenEon uses to allow users to produce an electrically charged mixture of water and proprietary minerals known as Electrolyzed Water on demand (on-site generation). Our one-step, multipurpose products offer safe and sustainable cleaning, sanitizing, and degreasing solutions for consumers. Our on-site production technology offers a competitive advantage in terms of product efficiency, eco-friendliness, cost savings, safety and simplicity.GenEon Takes On-Site Generation Technology Serious
Every aspect of our products benefits customers. Testing run at nationally recognized labs following AOAC protocol and GLP procedures confirm that GenEon's solution kills 99.999% of common germs in some cases in as little as 30 seconds. The pathogens have tested includes, but not limited to Human Coronavirus, Listeria, MRSA, Staph, VRE, Pseudomonas, Norovirus, H1N1, Salmonella, and E.coli O157:H7 bacteria. In addition to the high powered disinfectant properties of our products, they are also safe for virtually all surfaces as well as people, pets, and plants. Historically, people in need of cleaning and sanitizing products needed to repeatedly purchase costly toxic chemicals to use in places where they worked, lived, and played. Our on-site generation technology changes that. The GenEon On-Site Generation Process
The process is called electrochemical activation (ECA). Here's how it works. One of the natural minerals that GenEon uses as a catalyst is a salt. Salt is a compound comprised of sodium and chloride. Sodium ions are positively charged and chloride ions are negatively charged. GenEon Onsite Generators expose these ions to a low electrical charge. The positive side of the charge electrochemically converts the chloride ion (Cl) to hypochlorous acid (HOCl), which is a powerful sanitizer. The negative side of the charge electrochemically converts the sodium ion (Na) into sodium hydroxide (NaOH), which is a cleaning compound commonly found in soaps and detergents. Unlike many other OSG systems, GenEon's system is a Blended Stream System that uses both versions in the same solution. The hypochlorous solution is represented as Free Available Chlorine (FAC) that has 80-200 times the sanitizing power of chlorine bleach. Since it is produced at a near-neutral pH, it won't bleach out furniture or clothes. This is called electrolyzed water for cleaning, and GenEon is the leader in on-site generation of Electrolyzed Water.Savings and No Storage of Harmful Chemicals
The truly exciting part about on-site generation is the savings in yearly cleaning and sanitizing costs. Many of our customers are schools, where budgets are always a concern. We've heard Testimonials from these schools about the savings to the budget in real-world settings. Another great thing about using on-site generation is that it virtually eliminates the need to store harmful chemical-based products in your building.
